Welcome - The Challenge

Hello fellow Simmers! I'll get right into what this blog is all about! Inspired by another simmer (@winterbaby20 on the forums) and the history of King Henry VIII, I present The Sims Tudor Challenge!

Goal: Have as many heirs (sons) as you can with 6 wives or within your lifetime.

Create your King (YA/Easy, Adult/Med, Elder/Hard)
-Must have a combination of following traits: Romantic, Self-assured, Ambitious, Materialistic, Snob, Hates Children, or Noncommittal,
-Must have one of the following aspirations: Successful Lineage, Fortune (either one), Serial Romantic, Party Animal,
Create your 1st Queen (YA or Adult) in same household as your King
Create a household maid/nanny (female; any age)
Move into home (Your choice, but remember you’re royalty, and you will end up with many kids); Give your Sims enough money to have a nice place to begin with, then set your household funds at no more than 20k.

You may create potential future wives/mistresses in other households. Or just woo and marry townies.

Main Challenge Rules
  • Set lifespan to normal.
  • No sims may have a job.
  • Set household funds to 20k (after you have your house set up); add 10k everytime you marry, like a dowry.
  • You will start by having babies with first wife.
  • You must always have a maid/nanny; so if you end up marrying yours, you must make another.
  • You must always be married; you may have mistresses.
  • Play up to 6 wives; or play through the King's life span and start over agin with your heir.
  • You must either divorce or “execute” your wife if she has a daughter. If it’s twins or more,and at least 1 is a boy then you may keep wife.
  • You may divorce your wife at any time/reason and marry someone else.
  • Send Daughters (and Divorced wives) to a different household.
  • Give heirs same last name as King.
  • Oldest heir must live with you throughout the challenge. You may need a separate household if you max your household limit. Any favorite heirs may live with you as well.
  • Must be married to a child’s mother before birth to count them as an heir. (i.e. children of your mistresses are illegitimate.)
  • Cannot marry a mistress who has had a daughter.

Point System if you want to :smile:
Heir(s) = +5pts
Wives = -2pts
Daughters = -2pts (this includes those by mistresses.)
illegitimate sons = +1pt
Mistresses = +1pt
